Entrance Exam

• Computation and numerical reasoning skills
• Language skills: comprehension, grammar, mechanics, spelling
• Narrative writing: written introduction and experiential background

Antecedent Investigation

Candidates' backgrounds will be thoroughly investigated, including interviews with reputable citizens, business persons, principals, teachers, friends, relatives, and associates. Profiles (e.g., fingerprints) will be checked against local and international criminal record databases.

Physical Test

Engage in a physical fitness test to assess coordination and general agility.

Medical Evaluation

Comprehensive medical examination: blood tests, blood pressure, urine analysis, drug screening, vision, hearing, and chest x-ray. Candidates must be in excellent health to perform police duties.

Panel Interview

Interview with a panel of senior officers and JCF Human Resources Department members.

Psychological Screening

Psychometric test to evaluate psychological fitness, integrity, and commitment. May include polygraph testing.

Commence Basic Training

Learn police roles and procedures, laws, firearm training, defensive tactics, drill, and community-based policing.
